In our church in Hamburg we always have the cross procession after the liturgy on September 14th, and the children carry small crosses with them. It's interesting to know exactly which traditions still exist in the Ternopil villages - I would be particularly interested in the "looking for the cross" in the forest. Thanks for the article.

La noi în satul de lângă Chișinău, după Liturghie, preotul tot scoate crucea afară și o ridică de trei ori, iar oamenii se închină până la pământ. Interesant ce zice Georg despre copiii cu cruciulițe mici în Hamburg – la noi copiii mai degrabă țin postul mai strâns în ziua aceea și adună plante de leac din pădure, cum scrie și în articol. Oare în satele de pe la Ternopil încă mai caută crucea ascunsă în pădure?
