On September 26, on the day of the celebration of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, pupils of the Palm Sunday school at the church in the name of the Archangel Michael and other ethereal Heavenly Powers of the city of Ulyanovsk visited the Spassky Convent.

The children visited the monastery churches, venerated the shrines, learned about the life of the sisters and how prayer is performed in the monastery.

Good that the children saw how life and prayer really take place in the monastery, not just the icons and gold. We also go on excursions at our school, but to such a place we have not yet gone. It would be nice if our children from Olomouc could try it as well.

At our Sunday school in Sibiu, we also went with the children to the monastery in Cisnădioara two years ago. They really liked to see how the sisters pray at matins, not just to admire the icons. It would be good to make more visits like this, children learn more than from books.
