Nice to see Fr Basil’s things preserved like that. The vestments especially look so carefully kept – makes you think about the quiet courage it took to serve back then. Thanks for the report, will try to visit the museum next time I’m in Penza.
The vestments really do look well preserved – I read they were hidden away for decades by his family. Quiet courage is right; he kept serving right up until they arrested him in '37. Have you been to the Penza museum before, Grace?
