On September 13, 2026, the XIII annual festival of folklore, crafts, and farming "Voice of Traditions" will be held in the revived village of Khirino.

The program of the festival, which annually gathers about 3,000 participants, includes master classes, a farmers' market with products and items from folk crafts, Russian folk games, and a concert of Russian ethnic and pop music. The organizers of the "Voice of Traditions" festival reported this.

"The festival has become an essential part of the Khirino revival project and its branding as a territory with significant tourism potential. Our mission is to turn this location into something like a cluster of folk crafts and farming. An example of how one can 'reboot' a Russian village – socially, economically, and culturally," noted the organizers.

They also added that the "Voice of Traditions" festival is also a way to attract those who are interested in moving to Khirino – "to build a house, become a farmer, launch local production, implement educational or cultural projects, or simply live in these picturesque places, feeling part of the ongoing multi-century history."

It is good that the village comes alive through such festivals. Master classes and a farmer's fair are exactly what is needed to make people really want to move and start something of their own. And on September 13, 2026, just after the season, it will be possible to trade fresh products.
