Hello, such a big exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod on the land of Saint Seraphim. It reminds me of how I once visited a similar small exhibition in Damascus and bought a simple wooden icon. God bless the organizers.

We had a smaller fair like this at our parish hall a couple years back and I picked up a simple wooden icon of St. Seraphim that still sits on our kitchen shelf. Nice to see it’s reached the 47th time in Nizhny; I wonder if they brought any honey from Diveyevo again this year.

Youssef, this simple wooden icon is always the sweetest. I once bought a small one from a showroom in Tripoli and hung it over bread in the kitchen. I see it every day. May God bless those who organize these exhibitions.

That wooden icon on the kitchen shelf sounds perfect — mine from a few years ago ended up on the windowsill above the herbs I grow for tea. I think they did bring Diveyevo honey again; the booth near the entrance had those little jars with the monastery label. Did you ever try their prosphora mix while you were there?
