September 8, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 5, in the church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated for children with special needs of psychophysical development and their parents. The service was led by Priest Evgeniy Ivanov. Father Evgeniy has been helping children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for eight years and is raising two children with this disease himself. He is the director of the Rassvet Foundation, which organizes educational courses for special education teachers and parents of special children.

Pupils of the inclusive center “Sunny Circle” at the Church of St. John the Baptist in Ulyanovsk took part in the service.

Then, in a gazebo on the church grounds, a tea party was organized for the children and their parents. The guests of the St. Nicholas Church were greeted by the head of the department for church charity and social service, Archpriest Pavel Putilkin.

For questions regarding the nearest such services, you can contact Father Evgeny Ivanov by phone: +7(902)002-35-57.

Thanks for the article. I am very glad that Father Eugeniu, who also has two children with RAS, has been organizing these special services for eight years. I'll pass his number on to an acquaintance of ours who has a little boy with autism, maybe he can make it to the next one.

Thanks for the article. It's good that father Eugeniu, who goes through this himself with his two children, has been doing these jobs for eight years especially for children with RAS. I'll take his number, maybe we can come by car to one of them, because it's not that far from Timișoara.

Thank you for this article. It’s good that Father Eugène, who himself is raising two children with RAS, has been organizing these liturgies for families for eight years. I'll write down his number, maybe we could go there one day with my great-nephew who has similar difficulties.

Thanks for the article. It is nice that father Yevgenij, who himself has two children with RAS, has been organizing such liturgies for eight years. I will call him on the number given, maybe we can arrive with my grandson next time from Novi Sad.
