On August 31, on the eve of Republic Day, a solemn event dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR. The event was attended by management and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, department employees and veterans of the service. At the beginning, a flower-laying ceremony took place at the monument to police officers who died in the line of duty. Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of the PMR, Major General of Police Andrey Barabash addressed those present. During the event, employees and employees of the department were also awarded state and departmental awards, and a number of employees were awarded regular special titles. The event was attended by Archpriest Andrei Danilescu, responsible for the interaction of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The priest congratulated the leadership, employees and veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the upcoming Republic Day.

In his address, Father Andrei emphasized that this date is associated not only with historical memory, but also with gratitude to God for a peaceful life and the opportunity to live, work and raise children in their native land...

Thank you for mentioning Fr. Andrew Danilescu being there. It was good to see the flower-laying at the monument for the fallen officers and then the awards for those still serving — a nice balance of remembrance and encouragement. Our parish always prays for the safety of the men and women in the Ministry.

It was good to hear Fr. Andrew mention gratitude for the chance to raise children in peace — that part really stuck with me. Our choir has sung the moleben for law enforcement a few times, and you can tell the officers appreciate it. Do you know if your parish keeps any particular names on the prayer list for the local МВД guys?
