September 14, 2026 · 1 min read

September 13 in the refectory, at the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov PGT Lotoshino, a seminar was held for candle shop workers, which was led by the dean of the Lotoshino deanery district, priest Alexy Koshelev.

The seminar began with a joint prayer, after which the dean made an opening speech.  The seminar was continued by the assistant dean for missionary work, priest Nikolai Popov. After the report, the rectors of the churches and candle shop workers exchanged their experiences of communicating with parishioners. As a result, a number of controversial situations and issues were resolved.

At the end of the meeting, the clergy and church workers thanked each other for their joint communication and concluded the meeting with prayer!

Thanks for the news. It is good that Father Mykola Popov reported on the missionary work, because in the candle bench, that is often where the first conversation with a person begins. And the exchange of experience and analysis of difficult situations is something that is always lacking. Prayer at the beginning and at the end is correct.

Thanks for the news. It’s good that Father Nikolai Popov spoke specifically about missionary work - in a shop, the seller really often has the first word. We also held such meetings in Samara, and after them there was less confusion with questions from people. Prayer at the beginning and end is the most correct thing.
