On July 18, 2026, on the feast of the discovery of the honorable relics of St. Sergpius, abbot of Radonezh (1422), His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the Cathedral Square of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. The solemn service was performed in front of the revered icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh. To celebrate the festive all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy, a platform was built on Cathedral Square, and a throne under a canopy was built in front of the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra. The bishops and clergy of the Local Orthodox Churches took part in the service: Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'; Bishop Stefan of Remesia, representative of the Patriarch of Serbia to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'; Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia under the Moscow Patriarchal Throne; Archpriest Daniil Andreyuk, representative of the Orthodox Church in America.
