On August 18, 2026, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' performed a prayer service at the open sarcophagus with the remains of the prince, located near the southern wall of the cathedral.

Now we will make a prayer to the holy noble prince, so that he will be an intercessor, an intercessor for our land, for our Fatherland, and ask the Lord to protect the Russian land from every enemy and adversary.
