On August 13, a working meeting was held in the administration building of the Mariinsky Municipal District. The participants discussed two key issues: the organization of the “Dear New Martyrs” procession and the installation of monuments to Emperor Nicholas II and St. Luke of Crimea. It’s good that Pavel Astakhov handed over the monuments to Nicholas II and St. Luke. I wonder where exactly they will be placed - near the church or in the center? The procession “Dear New Martyrs” is also necessary, last year my daughter and I took part in a similar one, it was memorable.

It's good that Pavel Astachov dedicated those statues. St. Lukáš was a doctor and a bishop, which would also be appreciated here in Olomouc. I would like to know where they want to build them, if near the church or somewhere in the square. The Way of the Cross of the New Martyrs is a good idea, we also did a similar one last year.

The spot for those statues will make a big difference. I'd put St. Luke near the hospital if they let them, since he was a doctor himself. Our parish joined the "Way of the New Martyrs" walk last summer too – the kids still talk about it.

It’s good that Astakhov donated the monuments. It would really be better to place Saint Luke, as a doctor, near the hospital, and Nicholas II - near the church, probably. Last year my brother and I went through the procession “Dear New Martyrs,” and we still remember how we walked along the river.
