Prophet Jonah is the one who was swallowed by the whale, right? It’s interesting that his memory is just at the beginning of October, when the leaves in our park are already turning yellow and it’s especially good to walk. I don’t know much about Blessed Paraskeva Diveevskaya, I’ll have to read it up.

Yes, that's the same Jonah the whale swallowed and then spat out on dry land. The bit about Blessed Parascheva of Diveyevo caught my eye too — I keep meaning to look up her life but never get around to it. Our parish Bible study group read the book of Jonah last year; it's short but packs a punch about running from what God asks you to do.
