Difficult trip of Orthodox volunteerstranslated

From August 2 to 8, a difficult multi-day trip of Orthodox volunteers of the Ivanovo Metropolis took place to the Transfiguration Metochion of the Vvedensky Convent, in the village of Doronino. The guys mowed and harvested the grass, chopped and stacked firewood, weeded the beds, harvested the crops, cleaned the church, and helped in the kitchen. We also spent our free time actively and usefully—playing board games, putting on skits, giving each other gifts during the week in the game “Secret Angel,” and cooking over a fire. Each day began with prayer and ended with communal prayer before bed. An important event of the multi-day trip was the night Divine Liturgy, during which the youth choir “Rejoice!” sang, and everyone had the opportunity to partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
