On July 2, 2026, in the Church of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, located on the territory of the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveevsky Monastery, the final event of the forum “The Legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the Basis of Sacrificial Ministry” took place.

The plenary session was attended by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs Priest Alexy Solovyov, Head of the Sector for Relations with Dioceses of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs Priest Vasily Rodionov, Head of the Department for Youth Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese Priest Andrei Bandin, Head of the Diocesan Department for Interaction with Medical and Social Institutions Priest Andrei Ruzanov, Advisor Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis, head of the program “In the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov” Olga Baraeva, participants in the forum “The Legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the basis of sacrificial service”, clergy of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese.

The moderator of the meeting was Priest Andrei Bandin.

Last year, my colleague from the hospital helped in gerontology with the elderly after surgery, mostly it was monitoring therapy and socializing so that they don't feel lonely. If your sister from the church says how it looked for them, maybe we in Novi Sad will try something similar through our department.

Here in Kragujevac, volunteers from the church of St. George worked similarly in the gerontological center last year, but they also helped with simple procurement of medicines. Does your colleague still participate or was it just once?
