Ceremonial line dedicated to the Day of Knowledgetranslated

September 3, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 1, at the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 1 of Dokshitsy named after I.S. Polevoy" held a solemn assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge. The fabulous guardian of school time gave the clock to first-graders as a symbol of the beginning of the journey and to graduates as a symbol of responsibility and readiness to move on.

The assembly at the first city school was attended by the deputy chairman of the district executive committee Oksana Polochanina, the head of the education department of the district executive committee Elena Kuchits and the cleric of the parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Dokshitsy, Priest Pavel Iosko.

Oksana Polochanina congratulated students, teachers and parents on the start of the school year. According to tradition, first-graders were presented with the books “Belarus is our Radzima” - gifts from the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. And also greeting cards on Knowledge Day from the chairman of the regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov. The new school director, Elena Polyanina, was introduced at the line-up and sincerely congratulated those present on the new school year.

It’s good that Father Pavel was on the line. And a clock from a time keeper is an interesting idea that children will certainly remember. Elena Polyanina as the new director, I hope the school will be lucky with her.

It's good that Father Pavel came, his presence always counts. The idea with the clocks from the time keeper also seemed successful to me, especially for the little ones. I hope Elena Polyanina settles quickly in her new position.
