Thanks for the clarification on "latae sententiae" - it reminds me of how our church used to have communal candlelight vigils, but now that the girls are shining in front of the icons, I think it's even more divisive.

As once in St. George in Paleo Faliri we had to separate the old ones who refused to use the new psalms, I wonder how the "latae sententiae" could load the daily life into our always prayer.

In Agios Georgios Palaio Faliro I remember that finally the old people stayed in their own hymnals without disbanding the parish. The latae sententiae may be like that separation: it weighs down the rule, but one's daily prayer remains a matter of the heart, not of paper. How do you see this working today in a parish?
