Volume of the Diocese of Samos and Ikaria: Historical Overview 1900 – 2025translated
The "Center for Ecclesiastical, Historical and Cultural Studies" of the Holy Metropolis of Samos, Ikaria and Korseon has recently published the volume: Holy Metropolis of Samos and Ikaria (1900 - 2025). Historical Review (Athens 2026, p. 212), in the "Scientific Studies" series, no. 12. This volume was created with the blessing and supervision of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Samos, Ikaria and Corse, Mr. Eusebius, and the editorial supervision of Professor M. G. Varvounis, Director of the Center.
It includes, after the prologues, the updated form of the study of our Venerable Metropolitan Mr. Eusebius entitled "The Church of Samos in the 20th century", and then a chronological reference to the main events of the ecclesiastical history and life of Samos and Ikaria, from 1900 to 1995, but also from 1995 to 2025, during the high priestly ministry of His Eminence.
It is a painstaking gathering and recording in chronological order of the events and stages of the ecclesiastical history of our Local Church during the 20th and the first quarter of the 21st century, which on the one hand captures its life, tradition and action, on the other hand...
