The priest blessed UIGA first-year students for their studiestranslated

On September 1, on the central square of the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation named after Chief Marshal of Aviation B.P. Bugaev, a ceremonial formation of freshmen took place, dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.
The rector of the institute, Evgeniy Smolnikov, addressed the cadets with a welcoming speech.
From the Simbirsk diocese, the rector of the church in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Ulyanovsk at the institute, Abbot Seraphim (Lyakhov), took part in the ceremony. The priest congratulated the freshmen on their admission and wished them good health, wisdom, patience and God’s help in their studies. Upon completion of the formation, the priest sprinkled the cadets with holy water and blessed them for their studies.
The cadets were also congratulated by the head of the city of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin, the first deputy chairman of the legislative assembly of the Ulyanovsk region Vladimir Kameko, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council committee on the budget and financial markets Sergei Ryabukhin, the chief federal inspector for the Ulyanovsk region Yuri Kulik, the deputy head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Sergei Stramous, representatives of the transport prosecutor's office and aviation services.
