I always liked Saint Thomas because he asked for concrete proof, not empty words. I remember reading this morning in prayer the passage with "Bring your finger here" and I thought that I am like that too, I want to see with my own eyes before I believe everything. Thank God she was patient with him.
Thomas has always been close to me precisely because of those words "Bring your finger here." I don't like empty words, I want something solid, like that whistle in my hand. Thanks for reminding me about him today.
Thomas is close to me precisely because of this Bring Your Finger Here. And I often want something specific, not just words. It is good that the Church does not hide that the apostles also struggled with unbelief.
