Yes, the idea of helping people with mental disorders find real work speaks to me a lot. At our place we saw a young man from the parish who started as a gardener's helper after a supported internship, it gave him a new lease of life. For veterans, I would like to know if they plan training or just occasional help?

Our parish has tried partnering with a local bakery for supported employment like that — it worked well for one lad with autism. On the veterans side they mentioned coffee mornings with a psychologist and help with paperwork for benefits, but nothing huge yet. Have you come across any good employers in your area that are open to this sort of thing?
