Family rafting brought together pupils of the Sunday school of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lordtranslated

Summer holidays give Sunday school students the opportunity to spend more time together outside of their regular classes. Joint trips and hikes bring children, parents, teachers and parish clergy together, creating a space for communication and common cause.
On the evening of August 9, pupils of the Sunday school of the parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gomel, together with their parents, teachers and the parish cleric, Priest Alexander Babich, went kayaking.
The path, about eight kilometers long, passed along the Staraya Volotova channel, Volodka Lake and the Sozh River. During the rafting, the children mastered the control of kayaks and learned to act together, and the adults helped them cope with the new task.
The trip allowed participants to see familiar places from the water. Along the way, there was a view of an ancient church, thickets of water lilies, and you could watch waterfowl. There was time for socializing and relaxing in nature.
After the rafting was completed, children and adults gathered at a common table. Over a cup of tea, the participants shared their impressions and continued communication on the shore.
