And this year on July 7th is the Nativity of John the Baptist according to the old style. It’s interesting that they took such a long Gospel - from the message of Zechariah to “and there was a child in the desert.” Zechariah, by the way, is my favorite moment when he became mute, and then he wrote his name and speech returned.
