The head of the youth department of the diocese participated in the meeting of the Public Council for the Prevention of Aggression among Adolescentstranslated

On September 25 in Krasnoyarsk, at the Center for Temporary Detention of Juvenile Offenders, a meeting of the Public Council was held, dedicated to the prevention of crimes and offenses among minors, as well as the prevention of aggression in the adolescent environment.

The meeting was attended by the head of the diocesan youth department, the priest-in-charge of the Holy Trinity Church, Protopresbyter Alexander Brizhan. In his speech, the priest emphasized the importance of the family and spiritual-moral education in the prevention of juvenile crime, noting that this begins long before a teenager comes to the attention of law enforcement agencies — in the family, in the relationship between parents and the upbringing of respect, responsibility, and mercy.

During the meeting, the participants familiarized themselves with the activities of the Center for Temporary Detention of Juvenile Offenders and discussed possible directions for cooperation between state, public, and religious organizations in the field of preventive work with children and adolescents.

It's good that Father Aleksander talked about the family, because that's really where it all begins - when parents respect each other and teach their children responsibility. In our parish, we also try to help such families, but sometimes you see that nothing can be repaired without this house. I wonder if there will be any joint meetings with this Center in our diocese.

The priest said it well - everything starts in the home, even before the child reaches the police. Here in Podgorica, when parents fight in front of their children, it is later seen on the street. Thanks to Father Aleksandar for reminding me of that.
