On September 4, 2026, the Synodal Missionary Department of the Russian Orthodox Church held an introductory webinar on organizing the work of diocesan missionaries. The event was attended by the head of the missionary department of the Tara diocese, Archpriest Dmitry Grishin.

The Bishop spoke about the appointment of diocesan missionaries and emphasized that this ministry should not be limited to the formal performance of duties or the preparation of reports.

Thank you for writing. It’s good that Bishop Savva spoke directly about reports - in our diocese, too, sometimes we have more papers than live communication. I wonder if the next webinars will discuss exactly how a missionary can enter schools and libraries without formal invitations.
