September is truly a special month. Here in Voronezh, too, from September 1st it always feels like the church year has started for real, especially when the children go to school and the choir resumes singing. Thank you for reminding me about the symbolism, it’s useful to keep in mind.

The start of the school year is always a special moment, with us too the children go back to school and the choir starts rehearsing again on Wednesday evenings. September 1st as the start of the ecclesiastical year really gives the impression of turning a clean page, thank you for this reminder. Here in Craiova we feel the same thing as soon as the holidays end.

Here in Munich, too, on September 1, everything comes back to life: the children go to school, and in my kitchen big preparations for parish meals begin again. In Voronezh, the choir is probably already singing in full force? I wonder what chants you take up first after the summer.

Here in Yaroslavl, too, everything went smoothly on September 1: my grandson went to school, and at the dacha I was salting the last cucumbers before parish gatherings. In Voronezh, probably, the choir is already in full force. And what chants were you the first to sing in Munich after the summer, Natalya?

Yes, it's the same here in Cluj, the children started school last week and I'm already feeling the new rhythm. Our choir resumes on Thursday evening, after this too long summer. What are you singing in the choir in Craiova now, at the beginning of the year?

Yes, September brings this new rhythm to us too. In Craiova, the choir started with "Axion Estin" and some simple tropars from St. John the Baptist, to loosen up our voices. What did you sing the first evening in Cluj?
