Bine că părintele Alexandru Novopașin a participat la comisia aceea anti-drog. E un subiect serios, mai ales când vezi ce se întâmplă cu tinerii în orașe mari. Mă bucur că Biserica se implică direct, nu doar la slujbe.

Da, dobro je što je otac Aleksandar bio na toj komisiji. Droga je stvarno pošast, pogotovo među mladima, a Crkva mora da pomogne i van hrama. Kod nas u Banjoj Luci isto se priča o tome na parohijskim skupovima.

Father Alexander's involvement in that anti-drug commission in Novosibirsk makes sense. Drugs have wrecked too many young lives around here too, and it's good the Church is at the table with the officials instead of just praying about it. Our own parish in Chicago has had a couple of talks after liturgy on the same problem—practical stuff, not just words.

Kod nas u Nišu smo prošle godine na parohijskom saboru zvali jednog socijalnog radnika da priča roditeljima o znakovima koje deca pokazuju. A kod vas u Banjoj Luci, da li su te priče na skupovima dovele do neke saradnje sa lokalnim centrima za prevenciju?

Here in Podgorica, we also had a parish meeting with a psychologist from the Center for Prevention, so after that parents started reporting cases earlier. Cooperation with the local center started right from those lectures. And in your place in Niš, did the parents come to the parish for talks after that?
