An educational conversation about the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles princes Vladimir and Olga took place at the “Heirs” camptranslated

On July 22, on the eve of the holidays of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duchess Olga and Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, a student of Polotsk State University named after. Euphrosyne of Polotsk Sofia Baroyan introduced the wards of the “Heirs” camp to the historical milestones of the reign of these holy saints of God. Also in the camp library there were brochures with lives that every pupil could get acquainted with.

In addition, the children prepared stories about their families and told who taught them prayer and the Law of God. The task of each group was to depict on the poster their ideas about the family and the relationship between children and parents. Thanks to the work of the teachers, the children prepared the poster very responsibly and with love.

Thanks to Sofia for talking nicely about St. Vladimir and Olga, the children certainly didn't know all those details. It is good that they themselves talked about their families and who teaches them to pray, that is the most important thing. The posters certainly came out alive, when they were made with love.

Sounds like a solid talk—Sophia picking the right moment right before the feasts was smart. Nice that the kids got to talk about their own families and who teaches them prayer; that part probably stuck with them more than anything. The posters made with real love must’ve turned out better than the usual camp crafts.

Yes, I saw two or three posters. On one, they drew a mother holding her child's hand while reading a prayer book, while the father stands to the side and smiles. It was really warm and real. Sofia connected everything really well with the family, it's not just history.

It’s good that Sophia spoke just before the holidays, it makes sense. I liked that the children talked about who taught them prayer at home, it anchored everything in everyday life. The drawing of the mom with the prayer book and the dad smiling next to it looks like what we try to live at home.

It's good that Sofia was invited just before the holidays, because then everything is better remembered. I liked that the children not only heard about Prince Volodymyr and Olga, but also told themselves who in their families teaches prayer. And the poster with the mother holding the child's hand over the prayer book, and the father smiling next to him - it's real. In our fishing village, the boys also often remember how their grandfathers taught them the "Our Father".
