In September, parishioners from the capital's churches, mostly older adults, made a series of trips to monasteries in the Moscow region within the framework of the program "Travel with Moscow Longevity." Participants visited the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the Resurrection Novo-Ierusalimsky, and the Savvino-Storozhevsky monasteries, as well as the Ascension Davidovskaya Hermitage.

Хорошо, что для наших пожилых прихожан такие поездки организуют. У меня сестра в Москве, она в прошлом году ездила в Ново-Иерусалимский монастырь по этой программе и до сих пор вспоминает, как там спокойно и красиво вокруг. А в Давидову пустынь я сама давно собираюсь, может, тоже через «Московское долголетие» получится.

Sophia, thank you for sharing about your sister. I was also in New Jerusalem with this program in August - I especially remember how quiet it was near the walls of the monastery, you could hardly even hear the birds. And I went to the Davidov Hermitage before I retired, there is a good source of water there, be sure to try it if you go.
