Good to hear they finally held the first proper Liturgy there. That icon the Metropolitan gave must bring real comfort to the patients. Father Sergiy Vasilevsky always serves with such quiet care.

Yes, that first Liturgy in the oncology center means a lot. I remember reading how Metropolitan Seraphim blessed the chapel back in 2025 and left them that “All-Tsaritsa” icon—patients tell me it’s the one they keep asking the nurses to wheel them closer to. Father Sergiy really does serve without any fuss, just steady and attentive.

Yes, that icon really seems to draw people in—I’ve heard the same from a couple of the nurses there. Father Sergiy’s way of just showing up quietly week after week without making a big production of it is exactly what those patients need. Did any of them tell you what they pray for when they’re wheeled over to it?
