The Chairman of the Diocesan Missionary Department met with students of the Missionary-Catechetical Coursestranslated
As part of the curriculum, students of the Missionary-Catechetical Courses of the Odintsovo Branch visited the Assumption Church in the village of Uspenskoye.
The guests were met by the rector of the church, chairman of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo diocese and course teacher, Archpriest Ilya Nastevich. Father Elijah introduced the audience to the history of the Assumption Church, spoke about its shrines, modern parish life, as well as missionary and educational projects implemented in the parish.
After the excursion, a meeting took place over a common meal, during which the participants discussed topical issues of the modern mission of the Church, features of parish educational activities and the preparation of final qualifying works. The conversation took place in a warm and trusting atmosphere, giving listeners the opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences.
Such meetings help future missionaries and catechists get acquainted with the practical experience of parish ministry and see modern forms of church mission successfully implemented in the Odintsovo diocese.
