Prikhody.ru 09/17/2026. Pupils of the Sunday school of the Trinity Assembly and children's club associations in the Spiritual and Educational Center of the city of Omutninsk (Kirov region) began the school year with the “Feast of the First Bell,” which is held on the eve of the church new year, celebrated on September 14.

Addressing the children, the rector of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, priest Evgeny Safronov, wished to fill the school year with “the joy of learning, sincere conversations and good deeds,” so that each lesson would become “a small step towards wisdom and light.”

Students were able to visit the church and pray for the successful development of knowledge and sciences, reports the website of the Urzhum diocese. Then the children were treated to a sweet meal - “Watermelon”. Here, during communication, the children got to know each other better. Volunteer students from the Omutninsky Polytechnic College helped organize the holiday.

They did it well with this "watermelon" after the prayer in the church. The children must have felt more relaxed as they got to know each other around the table. При нас във възкресното училище също правим нещо подобно, но с дини рядко – повече с ябълки от градината.
