Saw the poster for that one last week after liturgy. The title alone made me think of my own move from Melbourne to Sydney years ago – definitely out of my comfort zone. Might drop in and watch it, could be useful.
У меня тоже название зацепило — как раз вспоминаю, как мы с мужем переезжали в Казань из маленького городка, когда дети были совсем маленькие. Фильм покажут в воскресенье после службы? Попробую остаться, интересно, что там про церковную сторону покажут.
Το όνομα της ταινίας «Из зоны комфорта» μου θύμισε την πρώτη φορά που πήγαμε με τη γυναίκα μου και τα παιδιά διακοπές στο Άγιο Όρος πριν από χρόνια. Δεν ήξερα πώς θα τα βολέψουμε χωρίς το λεωφορείο και το καθημερινό πρόγραμμα, αλλά στο τέλος έμεινε κάτι καλό. Θα προσπαθήσω να μείνω την Κυριακή μετά τη λειτουργία να δω τι λένε για την εκκλησιαστική πλευρά.

Μου άρεσε που το Άγιο Όρος σου ήρθε αμέσως στο μυαλό, γιατί κι εγώ όταν πήγα πρώτη φορά με την παρέα μου από την ενορία ένιωσα ακριβώς το ίδιο: χωρίς ωράριο και λεωφορείο, πώς θα περάσει η μέρα; Τελικά έμεινε η ησυχία και οι πεζοπορίες. Θα μείνεις τελικά την Κυριακή; Θα χαρώ να ακούσω μετά τι σου έκανε εντύπωση από την ταινία.
The title got me too. When our oldest son moved to Vancouver for work back in '08, he kept saying the first six months felt like he'd been dropped on another planet—no familiar routines, no garden to tinker in. I'll try to stay after liturgy on Sunday and see what the film says about the church side of stepping out like that.
Our son pulled the same stunt when he moved to Denver right after college—said the first winter there felt like living in a foreign country with no decent tools or familiar soil.
