Pilgrimage to Omsk and celebration of the Day of the Baptism of Rus' in Tyukalinsktranslated

With the blessing of Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, the parish of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in the city of Tyukalinsk, led by its rector, Archpriest Dmitry Grishin, made a pilgrimage to Omsk as part of the celebration of the Day of the Baptism of Rus'.
It all started with the night Divine Liturgy on the night of July 25-26. Immediately after the service, the pilgrims set off on their journey. The bus for the trip was kindly provided by the Department of Culture of the Tyukalinsky Municipal District Administration. We express our sincere gratitude to the head of the cultural department Larisa Vasilyevna Denisova for her help and assistance.
In Omsk, thousands of believers gathered at the Assumption Cathedral. Those who did not receive communion at night confessed and received communion at the liturgy, and then the procession began. It was headed by Metropolitan of Omsk and Irtysh Dionysius, Metropolitan of Orenburg Peter, Bishop of Tara and Tyukalinsky Vikenty, Bishop of Kalachin and Muromtsevo Siluan, Bishop of Isilkul and Russko-Polyansky Theodosius.
Together with the worshipers, along Lenin Street from the Assumption Cathedral to the Cossack Cathedral, they carried the All-Siberian shrine - the icon of the Mother of God “The Sign” from the Abalaksky Monastery. At the end of the religious procession, everyone with joy...
