Pilgrimage to the shrines of Sharkovshchina and Disnatranslated

With the blessing of the rector, Archpriest Alexander Shakhovich, on September 15, a pilgrimage trip took place from the parish of the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Novopolotsk, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the canonization of the Hieromartyr Konstantin (Zhdanov), presbyter Sharkovshchinsky.

The pilgrims visited the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the urban village of Sharkovshchina, where they were met by the rector of the parish - the chairman of the commission for the canonization of saints of the Polotsk diocese, Archpriest Nikolai Voitov. A prayer service with an akathist was served to the Hieromartyr Constantine. And then the priest gave a tour of the church, telling in detail about the life of the holy martyr Konstantin (Zhdanov). At the end of the conversation, everyone had the opportunity to climb the bell tower and see the bells cast for the church during the grace-filled pastoral service of Presbyter Konstantin in Sharkovshchina.

Here, in the urban village, the pilgrim group visited the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow.” The rector of the parish, the dean of the Sharkovshchina church district, Archpriest Viktor Voloshchuk, gave a tour of the church and served a prayer service to the Most Holy Theotokos.

It’s good that we went specifically for the 15th anniversary of the canonization. It would be interesting to hear what exactly Father Nicholas told about the life of the Hieromartyr Constantine - especially about those bells that were cast in his presence. Thanks for the ride, guys.

Good thing they went exactly 15 years after the canonization. The part with the bells cast in the time of Father Constantin caught my attention - what story did Father Nicolae have about them? Thanks for the report.
