I wonder if Father Paweł will talk about what mission looks like among people who have long left the Church. In Perm or here in Warsaw - the same challenge. I'd love to hear how he does it.

I would also like to know how Father Pavlos reaches out to those who have been separated for years now. Here in Crete I see the same, many young people do not go to church at all. If he talks about it, I'll watch it.

I wonder if Father Pavel will share any specific stories from Perm about reaching folks who've been away from church for decades. The challenges sound pretty similar whether it's there or here in San Francisco, where half the young adults I know from parish families haven't stepped inside in years. Might tune in for that part.

Well said, Paraskevi, here in Limassol I see exactly the same with young people. Father Pavlos has said in his earlier speeches that he starts with simple conversations about everyday problems and not with "you have to go to church". I would also like to see if he will talk specifically about Crete or Cyprus, maybe he has some common examples.

Yeah, that bit about starting with everyday problems instead of "you must go to church" rings true. I remember a bloke from our old postal round in Melbourne who hadn't been near a parish in thirty years; a quiet chat over his tomatoes in the garden got him back for Pascha. Looking forward to hearing what Father Pavel says about it.
