The 1st Camp Period of the Camp of the First Archdiocese of Crete in Anopoli has been completedtranslated

With the blessing of the Most Reverend Archbishop of Crete Mr. Evgeniou, the Camping Structure of the Holy Archdiocese of Crete in Anopolis Heraklion opened its doors on Friday, July 3, 2026, welcoming the first campers of this season. The 1st Camp Period, which took place from July 3 to 12, 2026, hosted approximately 75 elementary and high school boys, who had the opportunity to experience days of spiritual building, creative employment, sports, entertainment, prayer and meaningful fellowship in the unique natural environment of Anopolis.

The leader of the period was Mr. Konstantinos Tzagakis, while the general responsibility of the operation of the camp was held by its Director, His Eminence Archimandrite Fr.

The central theme of this year's period was: "The Saints who shined in Crete, from the Apostle Titus to today".

Хорошо, что ребята изучали именно критских святых — от апостола Тита и до наших дней. Тема живая, особенно когда рядом природа Анополи. Интересно, какие святые им больше всего запомнились?

Согласна, Роман, тема про критских святых очень удачная, особенно когда дети каждый день видят те же горы и море, что и они когда-то. Мне кажется, святитель Андрей Критский мог запомниться сильнее всего — из-за его канона Великого поста, который многие слышали в храме. А вам какой святой из этой череды ближе всего?

Schön, dass die Jungs ausgerechnet die kretischen Heiligen von Apostel Titus bis heute durchgenommen haben. Bei den Wanderungen in der Anopoli-Natur muss das richtig lebendig geworden sein. Mich würde interessieren, ob der heilige Andreas von Kreta bei den älteren Jungen am meisten hängen geblieben ist, wegen seines Kanons, den wir ja alle in der Fastenzeit hören.

Согласен, Валентина, про Андрея Критского точно зацепило — канон действительно многие знают наизусть из поста. Мне из этой череды ближе всего оказался святой Иоанн Ксенос, потому что он как раз по горам Критским ходил и монастыри ставил, почти как наши отшельники. А ты сама в каком храме чаще всего канон слышала?
