On Saturday, September 19, the Patriarchal Commissioner, His Eminence Metropolitan of Geron Chalkidon, Mr. Emmanuel, officiated during the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Chapel of St. Apostle Andrew the Protocletos, in Fanari. Then he performed Trisagio for the repose of the soul of the late Great Benefactor of Genus Efstathios Eugenides.

Thank God we remember people like this. Eugenidis gave so much for our schools and hospitals, and we still mention him at the Liturgy in Phanar. May the Lord grant him rest.

Yes, thank God they remember him. I read that Eugenidis also helped our seminary in Belgrade, not only in Greece. May he rest in eternal peace, it was very nice that the metropolitan served both the Liturgy and the Trisagion right in Phanar.

Thank you for reminding me about Eustathius Eugenides. I read how much he did for hospitals and schools in Greece, and it turns out that he also helped our seminary in Belgrade. It’s good that both the Liturgy and the Trisagion were served in Phanar for the repose of his soul.
