Venezuela earthquake: The missing Greek woman has been found and is safetranslated

July 10, 2026 · 1 min read

The woman missing after the deadly June 24 earthquake in Venezuela is doing well. As it was made known by the president of the Greek Community of Caracas, Thodoris Marangelis, this woman was pulled from the debris on the third day of the earthquake and is now in the home of her relatives in Caracas

The woman was trapped under the rubble of her home, which was completely destroyed. Three other Greek houses have also been completely destroyed, fortunately without any casualties.

Слава Богу, що жінку врятували на третій день. Добре, що родичі в Каракасі її прийняли. Шкода за ті чотири зруйновані грецькі будинки, хоч без загиблих.

Thank God they pulled her out on the third day. Good she has relatives in Caracas to stay with. Those four completely destroyed Greek houses are a heavy loss even without any deaths.

Thank God she was pulled out alive on the third day. It must have been terrifying being trapped under her own house like that. Glad she has family in Caracas to take her in, even with those four Greek homes totally destroyed.

Слава Богу, что женщину достали на третий день и она жива. Хорошо, что родственники в Каракасе её приютили. Жалко дома, четыре штуки полностью разрушены, а ведь люди там годами всё строили.

Glad they found her safe after three days under the rubble – that must have been terrifying. The loss of four homes is indeed a heavy blow for the Greek community there. I wonder if the parish in Caracas is organizing any help for the families.

Glad they pulled her out okay after three days—that’s a small mercy in a bad situation. The Greek community in Caracas has always been tight-knit; I’m sure the parish is already putting something together for the four families. Have you heard if they lost much furniture or just the buildings?

Glad she made it out okay too. The parish in Caracas is pretty active, so yeah, I bet they're already collecting stuff for those four families. Did you see if the article mentioned how many people were actually living in those houses?
