Yesterday, Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Catholic Patriarch met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Georgia, Petr Kubernat. Zion III at the headquarters of the Patriarchate in Tbilisi.  The Czech diplomat wished the Primate of the Orthodox Church in Georgia for his election, thanking him at the same time for the reception.

During their conversation, they mentioned the blessed Patriarch Ilias II, talked about Czech-Georgian relations, the importance of values ​​and traditions and, in general, about human relations.

The Ambassador spoke about the cultural, educational, economic and other programs implemented in Georgia with the support of the Czech Republic, while also expressing his support for Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The meeting ended with the exchange of souvenirs.
