July 12, 2026 · 1 min read

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Almopia, Mr. Stefanos, officiated at Orthros and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the holy parish church of Agia Marina, in the village of Marina Naousis in the archpriestial district of Skydra. The High Priestly Commissioner Skydras Archim. Antonios Korestis, Protopresbyter Christos Vanis and Hierodeacon Melchizedek.

Interpreting the Gospel passage, His Holiness praised the faith of the paralyzed man and his companions, while he connected the miracle with the Gospel passage of the previous Sunday, which focused on the healing of man from the power, actions and temptations of demons.

Алексей АндреевХорошо, что владыка Стефан связал это чудо с прошлым воскресеньем про изгнание бесов. Получается, и тело, и душа лечатся верой. Спаси Господи всех, кто там молился.

Peter ClarkYeah, that connection between the paralytic’s friends lowering him through the roof and last week’s demon story makes sense — faith gets at both body and soul. Nice to see Bishop Stephanos tie them together like that.
