Thanks for this story. It is nice that Damianos, himself from Locrid, returned to his village and himself built this two-storied church in the name of Moses and Catherine. What will the view of Maliakos and Euboikos bay be like from there...

Thanks for the news. It is nice that Damian, himself from Locris, returned and built this two-story church in honor of Moses and Catherine. The view of the Maliako and Euboean gulfs must be truly stunning.

Thanks Anna, that's what I liked the most - that Damianos didn't leave his village and built this church himself. Can you imagine how he relaxes there in the evening, with the exact same view of Maliakos Bay? I really want to see it in person one day.

The bit about Archbishop Damian building the church himself in his own village really stood out. Nice to see a local lad come home and put up a proper two-storey church for Moses and St Catherine like that. Must be peaceful sitting there in the evening looking out over those two gulfs.

Yes, Damian is really local, from Locris, and the church turned out to be very soulful. I heard that on the lower floor there is a service in honor of St. Catherine, and on the top floor - in honor of Moses. Have you been there, Vera?

Maya, I completely agree with you, the story of Damianos is very cool. The fact that he himself built a church in his village and now sits there in the evenings, with that exact view, really makes his heart happy. I'm also wondering what it's like inside, have you seen the photos or are you just imagining it?

Maya, Damianos story is really interesting. I remember when we were also doing the roof in one monastery, such places are especially quiet in the evening. Have you been to Tragana?

Indeed, David, the story of Damianos is interesting, especially since it is his hometown. I haven't been to Tragana, but in our garden it's exactly that calm in the evening when we were covering the roof. In which monastery did you make the roof?
