Monemvasia celebrated its 205th Anniversary of Liberation from the Turkish yoke on Thursday, July 23, 2026. In the morning, in the Holy Church of Panagia Myrtidiotissa, within the castle town, a Doxology was held, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta Mr. Efstathiou.
