Holy Intercession Service for Our Lady the Healertranslated

Venerable Hieromonk Father Athanasios Simonompetris, Hymnographer of the Great Church of Christ, has named this event “Mystery of Love” in reference to the arrival of this miraculous Icon in our Holy Metropolis. Moved by “the wondrous choice of our Theotokos,” as he states, he accepted the blessed initiative at the very time the Metropolis was seeking a Hymnographer for the composition of its Paraklesis Canon. He has sent to the Holy Metropolis a Holy Paraklesis Canon, which he has appropriately composed. On the evening of Monday, July 20, from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Holy Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos (Kisamos), where the miraculous Icon of Our Lady the Healer is enshrined, our Most Reverend Bishop Amphilochius will celebrate the Holy Intercession Service, during which he will commemorate all names offered for healing.
