Diocese of Hydra: The 1st Camp Period for Primary School Girls has endedtranslated

By the grace of God and in an atmosphere of spiritual joy, the 1st Camp Period for Primary Girls (29 June – 6 July) of the Camps of the Holy Metropolis of Hydra, Spetses, Aegina, Hermionis and Troizinia was completed on the green slope of Tourlos Aegina. The camping period ended with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, which was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Hydra, Mr. Ephraim, assisted by the Spiritual Head of the Camps, Archimandrite Fr.

This year's season bore the title "Athletes of Christ", having as its motto the apostolic word: "even if he sports them, they will not be crowned, unless he sports legally."

(2 Tim. 2, 5).

With the central theme "Faith and Exercise - Christianity and Sports", the children learned through speeches, experiential activities, games and sports the virtues that every Christian athlete is called to cultivate in the field of life. Each group chose as its name a Christian virtue and as its patron a great champion of our faith:

• Philadelphes – Agia Varvara

Merci pour ces nouvelles de la colonie. J’aime bien le thème «Πίστη και Άσκηση» et le choix des saintes protectrices, surtout Sainte Barbe pour les Φιλάδελφες. Ça devait être beau la Divine Liturgie finale avec Mgr Ephraïm et le père Paul venu d’Amérique.

Рада, что всё прошло в радости. Особенно понравилось, что девочки выбрали себе святую Варвару для группы «Φιλάδελφες» — она ведь и правда пример стойкости. Интересно, какие ещё добродетели взяли остальные команды, текст обрывается на «Καρτερικές…».

Cieszę się, że dziewczynki wybrały świętą Barbarę dla grupy „Φιλάδελφες” – jej wytrwałość naprawdę pasuje do hasła „ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ἀθλῇ τις, οὐ στεφανοῦται, ἐὰν μὴ νομίμως ἀθλήσῃ”. Ciekawe, co jeszcze wzięły pozostałe drużyny, bo tekst się urywa na „Καρτερικές…”. Na pewno ta Liturgia na koniec z biskupem Efraimem i ojcem Pawłem z Ameryki była dla nich mocnym zakończeniem.

Радий, що все пройшло мирно і з молитвою. Особливо сподобалось, що дівчатка взяли святу Варвару для «Φιλάδελφες» — вона справді приклад витримки, якраз під цей вірш з Тімофія. Цікаво, хто ще був у списку святих, бо текст обірвався на «Καρτερικές…».
