First Priestly Assembly for the new ecclesiastical year in Veriatranslated

On the morning of Friday, September 4, 2026, in the Holy Pilgrimage Church of Saint Anthony the Patron Saint of Berea, celebrating the feast of Saint Jerusalem and her children, the first Priestly Assembly of the Holy Metropolis of Berea, Naoussa and Campania for the new church year was held. In the Holy Church is treasured the Holy Cara of Saint Jerusalem, who was martyred in Berea and is the first Patron Saint of the city, before the establishment of Saint Anthony the Younger as its Patron and Protector.

At the beginning, on the occasion of the new ecclesiastical year, a Consecration was performed by the Assistant Bishop of our Holy Metropolis, the Theophilist Bishop of Domenikos, Mr. Athenagoras.

Subsequently, the Protosygellos of the Holy Metropolis Archim. Dimitrios Baklagis informed the Priests about current administrative issues and in particular about the start of the new catechetical year, which will begin in our Holy Metropolis with the established High Priestly Vespers and the presentation of appointments that will take place on the evening of Friday, October 2.
