Lianovergi Imathia: Handwritten Reader by the Metropolitan of Veriatranslated

On Thursday, August 6, in the evening, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania Mr. Panteleimon officiated at the Metheortios Vespers and the Invocation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and preached the divine word in the celebrating Holy Church of the Transfiguration of Christ the Savior Lianovergi. At the end of the Holy Prayer, His Eminence placed the priest Grigoris Yovanopoulos from Platanos Imathias as Reader.

His Excellency's Speech:

"In thanksgiving hymns I glorify and extol the immeasurable mercy".

Once again tonight we sang the Great, as we say, Prayer to Our Lady. And as every time, together with the holy hymn writer, we entrusted her with the requests of our hearts, whatever each one of us needs and whatever he wants, having the certainty that the Most Holy Theotokos always hears our supplications and is quick to grant us whatever each believer asks of her.

Congratulations to Father Pantelimon for the job and especially for ordaining little Grigoris from Platano as a reader. It's nice to see a child from there near the altar, in our parish we had a boy about the same age who also started reading the Apostle. May the Mother of God continue to help him.
