It is always encouraging to see the Patriarch of Alexandria travel to Crete. I hope that the meeting allowed us to discuss the situation of Orthodox communities in Africa, that interests me particularly. Let us pray that these visits will strengthen the bonds between our Churches.

Interestingly, the Patriarch of Alexandria came all the way to Crete. I hope they talked about those communities in Africa that Claire mentioned - it must be difficult in such conditions. It's good that they meet and stick together.
