On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the pious people of Artaki, led by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chalkidos Mr. Chrysostomos, preceded the celebration of the Panagia Paneromeni with an overwhelming holy vigil at the holy place of Her apparition, Her Pilgrimage Church in Nea Artaki. The all-night vigil sounds beautiful, especially with so many people still coming in even after midnight. I hope the procession on the 22nd goes smoothly with the icon through the streets of Nea Artaki. Looking forward to hearing how the Divine Liturgy turned out on Sunday.

The turnout after midnight for Communion really stood out to me too. Our youth group did a shorter vigil last summer and even that felt special, so I can only imagine how moving it was with the Metropolitan there and the icon coming out for the procession on the 22nd. Hope the streets are packed for the litany.
