I remember the head of St. John icon we have at our parish in Boston. The service always feels heavy, like you can picture the prison and the platter. Glad so many people turned out in Chania for it.

Our parish in New York has that same icon of the head on the platter right by the iconostasis. The service does feel heavy, exactly like Thomas said. Nice to hear so many people showed up in Chania.
