On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated with great enthusiasm and the participation of a large number of believers in the Holy Church of Panagia Katholiki, in the community of Psimolofou, of the Holy Metropolis of Tamasos and Orini. During the Divine Liturgy, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Tamasos and Orenis Mr. Isaiah preached the divine word, calling the faithful to remain firm in faith, close to Christ and the Church, especially in the midst of the challenges and trials of the modern era.

His Holiness emphasized the importance of a living relationship with God, prayer, repentance and love, underlining that the Christian is called to turn his faith into a daily way of life and a practical witness to the Gospel.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the national commemorations of the heroes and fallen of the homeland were held, as an expression of honor and gratitude to all those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and dignity of Cyprus and Hellenism.

Mulțumesc pentru știre. M-a bucurat să văd că Mitropolitul Isaia a vorbit clar despre rugăciune și pocăință ca să rămânem fermi în credință, mai ales acum când totul e plin de provocări. Și memento-ul pentru eroii Ciprului după Liturghie mi s-a părut potrivit – biserica ține vie memoria asta.

Спасибо за новость. Хорошо, что владыка Исаия прямо сказал о молитве, покаянии и о том, чтобы вера была не просто словами, а жизнью каждый день. А после Литургии помянуть героев Кипра — это правильно, память должна жить.
